Email Setup Directions for Microsoft Outlook/Outlook Express Users

 

From the program, go into Tools Menu and select Email accounts, or Accounts. Select Create or add new account and fill out the information as needed.

 

POP3 server = mail.ivcomputer.com

SMTP server = mail.ivcomputer.com

***Please note, Cable and DSL companies block the SMTP port, and you need to use your ISP's SMTP server to sent out the email. To use our mail server, you may try port 587 instead of 25, or call your local ISP to obtain the SMTP server information. Also, you can ask the isp to open up the port 25.

Cox = smtp.west.cox.net, smarthost.cox.net

Verizon = mail.verizonmail.com

 

You need to select "My server requires an authentication check"

 

SMTP Port Number: 25 or 587, and SMTP SSL=465

 

SPAM Lists and Descriptions:

x-spam0-x = Filtered by Baracuda Spam Firewall
x-spam1-x = Action taken on email determined to be spam by Premium Filter.
x-spam2-x = For email determined to be from a dirty IP
x-spam3-x = DNS Black Lists 1.bl.spamcop.net 2.sbl.spamhaus.org 3.xbl.spamhaus.org
x-spam7-x = The action to be taken when the query result is Fail
